***COVID-19 VACCINATION ANNOUNCEMENT 02.12.20***

We are excited to hear the announcement about the licensing of the Pfizer Covid-19 vaccination. Please bear with us whilst we make the final arrangements for vaccination clinics. The Government will be making recommendations for certain patients to be prioritised for vaccination first. We will be in touch with patients when we are ready to invite them for their vaccination.

FLU VACCINATIONS - new 50-64 year old cohort

If you are aged between 50 and 64years and have no underlying health conditions you are now eligible for a free flu vaccination from 1st December 2020. We have sent text messages to all of our eligible patients to ask if they want the vaccine - please help us to plan our vaccine stock by replying to the message. If you haven't received a text, contact our reception team.

Evening and Weekend Appointments

April 2020 - Please note these appointments are temporarily being offered at Dewsbury Health Centre.

We're working together with our neighbouring practices to bring you more appointments when our surgery is closed.

You can arrange to see a doctor or nurse on weekdays after 6.30pm, and on weekends at Liversedge Health Centre.

If you need an appointment at these times, please tell our receptionist who will be able to arrange the appointment for you.

Home Visits

Doctor's bagIf possible please try to telephone reception before 10am if you require a home visit.

A doctor or nurse may phone you back as it may be that your problem can be dealt with by telephone advice, or that it would be more appropriate to send a nurse, or indeed arrange a hospital attendance.

House visits are only available for patients who are housebound because of illness or disability.

Please remember that several patients can be seen in the practice in the time that it takes to make one home visit. There are also better facilities for examining and treating patients at the Health Centre.
