It is very important that all babies are fully immunised. These are carried out by Child Health nurses who hold clinics downstairs in the Health Centre. Reminders will be sent out, after which you can make an appointment with the main Health Centre reception desk.
All Services
Routine post-natal check ups
Once you have been discharged from hospital and are at home with your baby, the Doctor will contact you by phone to check that you and baby are both doing well. You will be invited to attend surgery for your post natal examination and your baby’s six week check.
Maternity Care
Most of the care for pregnant women takes place in the surgery with the Community Midwives and GP’s seeing mothers-to-be regularly. Most women will go to the hospital once or twice during their pregnancy. If you agree, it will usually be arranged for you to have your baby in hospital.
Antenatal clinics are held by the midwife on Thursdays and Fridays.
